Eliot Hall, HKU2021
I earned my PhD from HKU under the supervision of Prof. Yizhou YU. I then continued my academic career at CUHK, where I worked under the guidance of Prof. Dou Qi. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at LIX, Paris with Maks Ovsjanikov.
Having had the privilege to live in both Hong Kong and Paris, and to work with outstanding researchers on exciting topics, I feel this is one of the best times of my life. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and biking, and I am currently learning to ski. I also love exploring nature and experiencing diverse cultures, from Hong Kong and Europe to other parts of the world.
Over the past few years, my concentration has centered around computer vision and graphics, with a primary focus on leveraging deep learning techniques. I am intrigued by the exploration of various representations for visual data, encompassing not only images but also 3D environments. My thesis delved into generative models of point clouds and super-resolution; however, my current endeavors are predominantly geared towards NeRF-related tasks.
Born in the Internet era, h4c|<!ng has always been my passion. I firmly believe in the spirit of free software and aspire for the cyber space to remain open and egalitarian. My expertise encompasses programming across a range of languages, enabling me to tackle diverse tasks spanning operating systems, GPU computation, encryption, and networking.
